Shogun's Reign Role Checklist

This role checklist is a session tool for Shogun’s Reign. Copy it into notes, Discord, or a second monitor, then tick items as you complete them in the live Province. It does not invent hidden pay tables or Shogun macros—anything not fully documented publicly stays marked as verify-in-game. Pair the list with Getting Started, job guides, housing, progression, and the roles tier list.

Return to the Tools hub whenever new helpers launch.

A. Arrival and identity

• Launch from the official experience and confirm you are in the Hub (solo staging).
• Set name / surname, head, scale, height.
• Choose a species from the live menu (Ryūjin confirmed; ignore fake complete lists)—see species.
• Write a short bio, add tags, decide weapons etiquette.
• Put on a readable starter outfit (customization).
• Teleport into the Province and survive the first five minutes without panic spending.
• Mentally note Welcome to the Province as your arrival badge fantasy.

B. Early Ryō roles to try

Work through these even if you main only one later:

• Complete at least one full Farmer field cycle (Farmer guide).
• Bank enough Ryō to feel a tiny surplus (amount verify-in-game).
• Buy modest Merchant stock such as turnips/cabbage when you can afford a failed day (Merchant guide).
• Run one stall sales session without emptying your entire purse on restocks.
• Finish one Attendant loop: laundry, footwear help, or bathhouse service (service roles).
• Attempt an Isha care scene with consent and clear physician-coded tagging.
• Perform at least one song set; optionally chase Instrument Master (expert perfect song).
• Decide your current main vs alt income using the roles tier list.

C. Housing prep checklist

Exact claim prices/NPCs are not fully public—tick process, not fake numbers:

• Scout at least three claimable-looking residences.
• Note commute time to your main workplace (fields, stall, bathhouse).
• Screenshot or write down any live claim prompts you see.
• Reach a Ryō surplus you are willing to risk on a claim attempt.
• Attempt a claim when the server is calm.
• Relog or re-enter to verify ownership behavior.
• Set a post-claim income plan so you are not broke on the doorstep (housing guide).

D. Etiquette and service quality gates

• Practice footwear etiquette without being reminded twice.
• Keep bathhouse spaces respectful (no chaos memes).
• Separate OOC haggling from in-character Merchant talk.
• Update tags when you change roles so hirers find you.
• Refuse unverified promo codes scams; remember TikTok save-files ≠ gifts.
• Ignore scripts promises of instant rank.

E. Progression milestones

Paths discussed: farmer / artisan / merchant / retainer / warrior / noble → Shogun.

• Label your OC’s current rung in one word.
• Complete a second rung experiment (example: Farmer → Merchant, or Attendant → retainer RP).
• Host or attend one scene in a claimed home or equivalent social space.
• Try a retainer-flavored duty scene (loyalty, errands, household help).
• Try a warrior-flavored scene with consent boundaries.
• Try a noble-flavored hosting or patronage scene without claiming false titles.
• Decide whether you are aiming for The Shogunate, a revolt story (Reign’s End), or Ambitionless.
• Re-read progression after each major patch (Updates).

G. One-evening sprint (pick one)

Sprint 1 — Economy

Sprint 3 — Home
Surplus check → housing scout → claim attempt → income recovery plan.

Sprint 4 — Ambition
Progression re-read → retainer/warrior/noble scene → badge intention locked.
